Driving down the cost of motoring
We brought to life AutoTrader’s brand promise of ‘The World Of Cars Made Easy’ by spearheading a consumer campaign to drive down the costs of motoring.
Rising costs were hitting the motorist’s wallet with surging fuel prices, vehicle fund licence, MOT, servicing and motoring fines. So we carried out consumer research on the impact of the soaring costs on motorists’ wallet and set up partnerships with like-minded brands to save motorists money.
We kicked off the campaign with a great interview spot on the BBC Breakfast show. Positioning AutoTrader as a champion of motorists, the Marketing Director discussed the rising cost of motoring and how consumers could make owning and running a car more affordable.
Radio and press interviews were set up featuring exclusive car buying data; tips on saving money on motoring; and promotions for money off key expenses. We landed over 130 pieces of media coverage across broadcast, digital and print media, and generated over 70% more media coverage than original targets. The AEV was over £500,000
